“Hey Kamini you look so beautiful” remarked her friend Sangeetha that made Kamini go red.
“Your eyes are so gorgeous” told another friend
“Your color , ah!! what to say? You look like a heroine Kamini” told Anju
Kamini was totally pleased by these praising of her friends. She was already imagining herself as a heroine.
“Kamini, if you act in films you have a bright future. You will become rich soon. You will have many fans” said another friend.
These words poisoned Kamini’s mind who was studying in her tenth standard. She is a beautiful girl no one can deny that but these flattering had made her mad to act in films and become a heroine. She went home that evening and told her parents regarding her desire to act.
“Thud!! her father slapped her. What!! heroine?! madam study well and clear your public exam this year. Don’t be in imagination which would never happen.
He turned to Kamini’s mother and slapped her.
“See, how you have brought your daughter? she wanted to act in cinema. Take good care of her and change her mind. Ask her to study well” saying these words he went out
Sivakami Kamini’s mother scolded Kamini for her desire which is impossible for people like them from a decent middle class family. But Kamini’s mind would not listen. She wanted to be a heroine. She could not let her desire subside for her parent’s sake.
That night when everyone was asleep Kamini wrote a letter informing her parents that she is going out of home to make her desire come true and also managed to steal a few thousand rupees and left her home town Salem to Chennai.
