After a month
“Kumar where have you been all these days? I tried reaching you in mobile but it was switched off. I asked about you to our friends but none was aware what had happened to you. I was worried . Now , I am relived . Ok tell me where you went all these days? Did you talk about our affair to your mother. What did she tell?” saying these words she went near Kumar and hugged him
“Kamini, please don’t touch me.”
Kamini was shocked.
“What happened Kumar?”
“Kamini… Kamini please listen to me, some times we need to go against our wish and desire in life”
“Kumar what are you talking about”
“Kamini … I am married” he said and looked at Kamini
“Kumar!!” Kamini screamed
“What you told? you’re married? Why did you cheat me? you scoundrel. You promised me that you will marry me.”
“Yes , I did promise. But I could not go against the wishes of my mother. Also ,the girl whom I married now is from a rich family. I can’t trust my career all my life. I need other means to earn. Now , I am planning to start my business .
“But ..Kumar.. don’t you think that what you had done is wrong?”
“No Kamini. Be Practical. Neither you nor me have good income. How do you think we can lead our life? At least, now go back to your home , marry the guy whom your parent see for you. All the best” saying these words Kumaran left the place
Tears filled Kamini’s eyes. She was staring for a long time , in the path Kumar went. She cried and cried the whole night. She thought to herself,
“Enough of these hardships”. In this one year, she had understood life. She wanted to go back to her parent.
Next day, she boarded the bus to Salem with very little money and her belongings. She wanted to cry to her mother asking for her pardon for her stupid act.
