My Dream



I had a dream

I had a dream

Dream which made me happy

Dream which made me to think!



It was dark forest

There was loneliness everywhere

The rustling of dry leaves heard

The birds were resting in nest



The hooting of owl heard

It was raining heavily

I heard a feeble voice near a cave

I went out to see the owner of the voice



I saw a young man

With hunch back

With folded hands

With bent head



I went near him

He looked at me

I asked him where he should go.

He replied - For race!!



I was surprised!

I asked him to run

He quietly looked into my eyes

He gave me a stare!!



I asked him was he lame?

He stretched his legs to me

It was fine

He was not lame



What made him not to walk?

I asked him

He told that he was put in a cave

For thousand of years



There was no light

There was no air

There was no freedom

There was no strength



He was not allowed to walk

He was not allowed to talk

He was not allowed to study

He was not allowed to express



He asked for a helping hand

I gave him mine

He walked holding my hand

He slowly gained strength



He started walking fast!

His hunch back slowly straightened

He started walking briskly

He started running

He at last won the race!!



Also when he won the race

I did not help him till the destination

I helped him in the beginning

This gave strength to finish the race



The helping hand was not given

Because I pitied him

It was act of repent

For suppressing his birthright- Freedom!!



His face shone brightly

He stood with pride and joy

He looked at people who treated him animal

Just for them to regret for their deeds!!
