An Unknown feeling!!

An Unknown feeling swept Rani's mind. That feeling made her happy. When at work , when at home , when asleep, those eyes , those watchful eyes which were constantly watching her made her feel happy. She was experiencing this for the first time. Is this feeling called as 'LOVE'. She did not know how to handle this feeling. This happiness in her was made by Ranjith her colleague who constantly watch her wherever she goes. At first, Rani did not like this. But later, when she did not feel that Ranjith is not watching her she felt that she is missing something. She secretly admired him . Sometimes she used to think of asking Ranjith when he is watching,”why are you watching me constantly”? But she never had that boldness. Indeed that alone was not the reason. She liked him seeing her. Slowly she felt the thought of Ranjith occupying her thoughts all the time.

It so happened that Ranjith did not come to office one day. She later came to know through her friends that he met with an accident and admitted at Hospital. Tears filled her eyes , but she quickly wiped it off before her friends could see. After her lunch, she was in a hurry to finish her day’s work and leave for the day. Yes, she had decided to go to hospital and see Ranjith. That evening she finished her work and entered the hospital at 4.30PM. She enquired his ward no at the reception. When she neared the ward her heart beat fast. She did not know why? She did not know how to face him? But she gathered all her strength and went inside the ward. Ranjith was lying in his bed. He had been bandaged in his legs. “Ranjith”,called Rani. Ranjith turned with a surprise. “Rani..,Rani , please do sit”,said Ranjith with a broad smile in his face. On seeing him with injuries Rani could not control her tears. She was just seeing him. She wanted to speak but words failed her. Ranjith understood her feeling. His pain vanished in seconds. He was smiling at her and thanking the nature for his accident. Now both were in their own world of Love and Joy !!
